With a focus on creating a safe and familiar environment, a dementia care unit provides around-the-clock support to help individuals manage the symptoms of dementia. Our trained carers work closely with families and medical professionals to create a care plan that is tailored to each individual’s needs.

The staff at Longbridge Deverill have received extensive dementia training to deliver the best possible specialist dementia care and support to every individual. Our dedicated team works alongside each resident and their family members to establish an individual care plan that meets their needs, wishes and lifestyle choices. Nursing Care

Nursing care is the most appropriate care option for those who require 24-hour medical assistance and personal care from a nurse. Those residing at a nursing home will receive the highest quality nursing care of all hours of the day and night. A nursing team can support those with physical disabilities, long-term health conditions, learning difficulties and critical illnesses. Those receiving nursing care will often need assistance with daily tasks including personal hygiene, washing, dressing, eating and mobility and our team is there to make their lives as comfortable as possible.

At our Wiltshire care home, we provide 24/7 nursing care for residents in our nursing unit. Our experienced team of nurses are able to provide personalised care for those with a range of demanding needs which often means they become reliant on others. Our highly trained and experienced staff are committed to providing residents with the finest care and support at all times to ensure they are comfortable and happy in their environment, no matter what their personal circumstances are. We also extend our arm to loved ones by keeping them up to date with a resident’s progress and care approach.

Respite Care

Respite Care is a short-term care option that enables someone to take some time out from their everyday routine. Those who are caring for their loved ones at home can use respite care to take scheduled or unscheduled breaks from their care duties while a team of care professionals takes care of a loved one’s needs for a duration of time.

If a person has recently experienced a fall or is recovering from an illness or operation, a respite care service allows them to get the care they need from a dedicated team until they are ready to resume to their normal routines. No matter how long you need to stay with us at Longbridge Deverill, our staff will go above and beyond to ensure your care needs and personal requirements are met.

Providing Our Support at Every Step

We understand that each resident will have their own unique needs and personal circumstances, that’s why within the first few weeks after a resident moves in, we develop a customised care plan that is solely tailored for them. If you are looking for care on behalf of a loved one, we invite you to chat with our friendly team who will recommend an appropriate care approach following a care assessment.

We are proud to be regulated by the Care Quality Commission, which is an independent body that inspects and regulates the quality of residential care homes and nursing homes in England. This ensures care homes perform to a high standard within all areas of the home and who will support improvements where necessary, providing peace of mind for residents and their loved ones.
