We are lucky to be tucked away on a quiet residential street close to woodlands within Warminster. Our care home residents can get the best of both worlds as the care home provides a relaxing setting yet is a short drive from the bustling market town of Warminster and the surrounding historic cities of Bath and Salisbury with must-see attractions such as Longleat Safari Park and Old Wardour Castle, and a plethora of shops, cafes and pubs.
Stourhead is a well-kept national trust with 2,500 acres of 18th century landscaped gardens and a beautiful lake surrounded by woodlands within gracious Georgian surroundings. You can explore the main house where visitors can admire the regency library, chippendale furniture and various paintings that have been preserved. The Walled Garden at Mells, is a hidden gem consisting of a charming walled rural cottage garden that offers a tranquil setting to walk through where you can enjoy a spot of lunch. There are also gardening workshops that visitors can take part in.
Bath Electric Boats provides the wonderful opportunity for visitors to take a private boat tour down the Kennet and Avon Canal and enjoy pleasant views from every angle. The world renowned prehistoric monument of Stonehenge is just a 25 minute drive which is one of the most popular tourist attractions in England, with a visitor centre and exhibition space, there’s lots to learn about Stonehenge.
