Activities Programme

Our devoted team works hard to provide a diverse range of activities to ensure that residents have everything they require to enjoy a full and varied life. We encourage all residents to keep doing what makes them happy, whether it’s reading a book in the garden, taking part in an Arts & Crafts session, or trying something new. Many of our residents also have annual passes to Longleat, so this is a common trip out for us at Longbridge Deverill.

Weekly activities such as baking and mindfulness sessions are planned by our Activity Coordinators to be both exciting and accessible. For those with memory loss, our programme also offers a variety of activities and alternative therapies, such as memory boxes and reminiscing.

Living Life to the Full

Friends and family can be confident that our residents’ well-being is our top focus, from inviting entertainers to perform at the home and our regular movie, book and gardening club to sensory sessions and trips to the local pub, our Activity Coordinators provide residents with a variety of activities and events that allow them to live their life to the fullest.

We hold regular resident meetings where they can give any feedback on the activities we offer. Loved ones are welcome to join us at any time with our open-door policy, the more the merrier!

Inclusive & Accessible Activities

At Longbridge Deverill Care Home, we strive to cater to a wide range of interests for residents of all ages and abilities. Our Activities Program offers a broad range of activities that are accessible to all residents, whether they have restricted mobility, are living with dementia, or require assistance with daily responsibilities. Pet therapy, arts and crafts, and enjoying live entertainment are just a few of the activities on offer, all of which are intended to keep residents entertained, engaged and happy.

A lot of our residents love being involved with daily life, so they assist our team with the pub trolley, where they go to each resident’s room and find out what drinks they want for the day. This helps them maintain a sense of independence and purpose throuhghout their journey with us.
