What is Nursing Care?

Nursing care is the best care alternative for those who require 24/7 medical assistance and personal care from a nursing team. Those living at a nursing home will receive the highest quality at all hours of the day and night. A nursing team will provide around-the-clock assistance for individuals living with physical disabilities, long-term health conditions, learning difficulties and terminal illnesses. These people will be reliant on others to help with simple tasks including personal hygiene, eating and mobility.

All medical care and well-being needs will be met in a safe and loving environment, provided by a team of registered nurses. Appropriate nursing equipment such as profiling beds, hoists, walking aids and nurse call systems will be available to those who need it. Nursing care is designed to give someone the best quality of life during difficult times, with the aim of making daily experiences less stressful and more enjoyable.

Residential Dementia Care

We provide residential dementia care at Longbridge Deverill which is similar to residential care. We understand the importance of providing quality care for elderly people who may be in the early stages of their dementia journey. We offer a homely atmosphere where residents can feel comfortable and at ease, with home cooked meals and their own furniture to create a sense of familiarity. Our team is committed to providing person-centred care, including assistance with daily tasks such as dressing, hygiene, medication and mobility.

Those who are caring for their loved ones at home can use our respite care service, with access to a wide range of services and amenities to help them feel at home. Our caring and dedicated staff are available around the clock to provide assistance and support, allowing residents to maintain their independence for as long as possible. Whether it’s household chores or personal care, we take care of everything so that our residents can focus on enjoying their time with us.

Specialist Dementia Care

As a nursing home providing specialist dementia care, we take pride in ensuring that our residents remain an active part of our community. We understand that dementia can make it difficult for individuals to remember, think critically, and communicate effectively, but our staff approaches each resident with endless patience and compassion. All of the staff work hard to help our residents retain their sense of self and independence for as long as possible, providing them with the care and support they need to live a full life.

Our staff members have undergone extensive dementia care training, enabling them to deliver outstanding care and respect to every resident. We collaborate with each resident and their family members to create individualised care plans that meet their needs, wishes, and lifestyle choices. We know that dementia progresses differently from person to person, which is why we offer full-time, specialist care when it becomes necessary.
