We were delighted to welcome residents, families, friends and staff to our Annual Summer Fun Day at Longbridge Deverill Nursing Home. We were lucky to be blessed with beautiful sunshine, and the event brought everyone together for an afternoon filled with laughter and community spirit.

A Day Full of Summer Fun

There was something for everyone to enjoy, with a hugely popular tombola offering fantastic prizes and beautiful raffle hampers creating plenty of excitement. Our craft stalls also proved popular, giving visitors the chance to browse a selection of handmade items and enjoy the creative talents on display.

Guests were able to enjoy a delicious BBQ with a variety of tasty options, while cooling ice creams were the perfect treat in the summer sunshine. Summer-themed music was played throughout the afternoon, creating a cheerful atmosphere as residents, families and friends caught up and enjoyed spending time together.

Bringing Our Community Together

The Summer Fun Day was a wonderful opportunity to strengthen the connections between our home and the wider community. Seeing residents enjoying the company of their loved ones and guests made the day especially meaningful, with smiles and laughter shared throughout the event.

Gatherings like this create valuable opportunities for conversation and togetherness, helping make special memories that residents and their families can look back on with fondness.

Supporting the Care Workers’ Charity

This year’s event was our most successful Summer Fun Day yet, raising a record amount for the Care Workers’ Charity. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who supported us by attending and taking part in the day’s activities, by volunteering and donating prizes. Every contribution helped make the event such a success, and we would like to thank everyone who played a part. Days like this remind us how much can be achieved when residents, families, staff and the local community come together for a shared cause.

At Longbridge Deverill Nursing Home, we are proud to create opportunities that bring people together while supporting causes that are important to the care community.
