A Gentle Welcome to Spring

The first signs of spring are beginning to show and our home has been filled with colour and heartwarming moments. At Longbridge Deverill house, we always look for meaningful ways to bring the seasons to life for our residents, creating experiences and making memories. We have been embracing the spirit of spring through sensory activities.

Bringing Spring Indoors

To celebrate the new season, we introduced a sensory spring trolley for residents to explore and enjoy. The trolley created a multi-sensory experience allowing residents to connect with the sights and scents of spring, filled with fresh flowers, soft fragrances and a cheerful spring-themed poem.

Blooming Activities and Gardens

With a fresh start to the season, we are planning a range of lovely gardening sessions this season - from painting colourful flowers and tending to raised beds to creating hanging baskets. These activities encourage hands-on engagement and allow residents to witness the beauty of growth firsthand.

Why Spring Moments Matter

These seasonal activities are more than just fun for our residents, they promote wellbeing, spark conversation and create lasting memories. Gardening and crafts stimulate the mind as well as the other senses and outdoor walks offer gentle exercise and fresh air. Experiencing nature and watching life bloom fosters joy, calm and a sense of renewal.

Small Moments, Big Happiness

From the scent of newly planted flowers to the cheerful songs of birds and the laughter shared during afternoon teas, every small moment contributes to a season filled with happiness and connection. Spring at Longbridge Deverill House is about celebrating new beginnings and creating meaningful experiences together.
